In the historic Kamptal winery Schloss Gobelsburg the principles of nuance and precision, simplicity and strictness reign supreme. The monks of Zwettl Monastery, who managed the winery until 1995, may have had a hand in developing this ethos of minimal intervention - stripping away the inessential to let the essence shine through. Moosbrugger and Bründlmayer who took over in 1996 continue this tradition, eliminating machines that make wine uniform and creating wines with character, ones that sing the song of the terroir. And with all that history, they sure have symphonies to perform...
